Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly identified a big money replacement for Sergio Ramos. This is according to the latest reports emanating from the media in Spain. It was reported that the Los Merengues have made a player from city rivals Atletico Madrid their priority in the request to replace Ramos who will leave the club this month.
Spanish media outlet El Gol Digital claimed that Real Madrid have made Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez their priority signing this summer in the bid to sign a replacement for Ramos and that they will have to make a very big transfer offer for Atletico Madrid to even consider selling him. Real Madrid might need to offer €100m to secure his signing from their city rivals. Gimenez was an important member of the Atletico Madrid squad that won the La Liga title ahead of Real Madrid at the end of last season.
The next destination for Sergio Ramos is far from certain as he has received offers from three teams namely Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) though the Spanish international is set to favour a move to the city of Paris over Manchester.
Ramoshas a free summer to himself after the Spaniard was left out of the squad for the Euro 2020 tournament being played in 11 different cities across the European continent. The Real Madrid skipper was left out of the 24-man Spain squad that is facing the possibility of leaving the tournament in the group stage.
